The Air Cadet Organisation is developing and growing, now, more than ever, is the right time to consider becoming a member of the UK’s Premier youth organisation.
I joined Rhyl squadron as a Cadet on my 13th birthday and spent 4 years taking part in as many activities as I could get my hands on. I can honestly say that the time I spent as a cadet was the best of my life. Being a cadet helped me chose a career in the RAF Fire Service through visits and work experience gained as part of annual cadet camps.
1340 Squadron can provide you with opportunities to take part in a wide range of exciting and fun activities that will help develop and test you as an individual. Skilled squadron staff will teach you a wide variety of new skills, including, shooting, adventure training, flying and gliding also self-discipline and team work. You will be given opportunities to enhance your leadership skills, visit new places both in the UK and overseas, meet new people, make lasting friendships and gain nationally recognized qualifications, but to achieve them you must put in effort. If you work hard and play hard you will realize your full potential "You only get out of the Air Cadets what you put in"
I would encourage everyone to try the air cadets, even if only for a short while. let us help you find your direction, who knows…it could be you gaining your solo gliding wings (before you can even drive a car) or standing in the white house oval office during an air cadet overseas visit.
