Did that bush just move?...
Fieldcraft is the art of moving and living in the field under tactical conditions. It is a term commonly used by all of the British forces for basic ground training as an infantryman. Fieldcraft has just been re-introduced into the Air Cadet Corps after a long period of absence.
It is an exciting part of our training as you find yourself learning fieldcraft subjects. As you advance the topics become much more leadership based to really get the most out of you and push your abilities to the limit! ............Some of the many subjects covered include:
•Camouflage and Concealment
•Skill at Arms
•Patrolling Skills
•Section Commander Tasks
•Night Exercises
So if you fancy getting in the mud and grass and advancing on the ‘enemy’ whilst all the time remaining undetected then this is definitely a subject right up your street!
