First Aid

On the Squadron we teach two courses for First aid.

Heartstart Uk

This is delivered on behalf of the British Heart Foundation and covers the basic skills needed for Emergency Life Support (ELS).

Youth First Aid

This course is delivered on behalf of St John Ambulance. the course covers 26 different areas of First Aid. The cadets become qualified First Aiders and are entitled to wear the red St John Ambulance badge.

  Casualty Simulation (CASSIM)

When teaching the cadets we fell that the training needs to be as realistic as possible. We use CASSIM to acheive this. This makes the cadets aware of what they would actually see in a First Aid situation so they do not get suprised.
