1340 (Rhyl) Squadron Air Training Corps

Flt Lt Paul Roberts rejoined the atc in april 1990 as a CI, he was promoted to warrant officer in early 91 and served as the squadron WO undertaking the roles of training and shooting officer, the latter role saw him steer the squadron shooting team to represent No2 welsh wing at the corps national shooting competition finals in Bisley, surrey on seven occasions and the team winning the wing .22 target rifle competition sixteen out of eighteen years to date. Granted a pilot officer commission in the RAF volunteer reserve training branch in October 95 and took command of the squadron in 1997. He specialises in shooting and aviation training as well as overseeing the squadron projects.
